Our research is focussed on viral diseases of livestock and poultry, though some of the viruses are also
zoonotic, causing disease in people. We engage in fundamental, strategic and applied research in a number
of overlapping disciplines, including entomology, epidemiology, genetics, genomics, immunology, mathematical
biology, molecular and structural biology, proteomics and virology. Our research, which extends from genes
